Sector Catalogue
Filter companies by sector and product to build customer lists that fit your business.
The Sector Catalogue is the part of the Expomatik member panel where you choose companies by sector, product group and country to build your own customer list. The list is not tied to a trade fair; it is made up of companies classified in the sectors you select, and it is added to My Lists.
Before you buy, you can review the total number of companies and the net price. Companies you have already obtained through trade fair lists, sector lists or company access are deducted, so your budget goes on new companies. We update the catalogue continuously.
Membership is free. Choosing sectors, viewing company counts and previewing the price cost nothing; the amount is taken from your balance only when you confirm a list.

What problem does the Sector Catalogue solve?
The Sector Catalogue lets you reach target customers by sector and product group when they are not on the exhibitor list of a particular trade fair. An exhibitor list covers the companies that exhibited at one fair, but many of the companies you want to sell to may not have exhibited there that year.
In the catalogue, companies are assigned to sectors and product groups according to what they make or sell. That means a target such as "dairy companies in Germany and Poland" or "packaging machinery companies in Italy" can become a list without waiting for the next fair.
How does the Sector Catalogue work?
You build a list in six steps. The company count and the price update as you make your selection, and nothing is charged until you confirm.
- Step 1
Choose sectors and product groups
Select a whole main sector or only the product groups you need. The search box works with product names in English, German and Turkish.
- Step 2
Set the country, email and confidence filters
With no country selected, all countries are included. You can limit the list to companies with an email address and to high-confidence matches.
- Step 3
Review the count and the net price
The order summary shows matching companies, companies with an email address, new companies to be charged and the net amount. The data preview shows sample rows with masked company names.
- Step 4
Companies you already have are deducted
Companies you have already obtained through trade fair lists, sector lists or company access are not included in the price.
- Step 5
The list is added to My Lists
When you confirm, the amount is taken from your balance and the list appears in My Lists. Company names and contact details become visible in My Lists and My Companies.
- Step 6
Use it in campaigns, update it later
The list can be selected as a recipient source in the Personal Mail and Secure Mail campaigns included in your plan. Companies that match your selection later can be added from the list page; only new companies are charged.
Which filters can you use to build a list?
A sector list is defined by four choices: sector or product group, country, an email condition and classification confidence.
- Sector and product group
- Selecting a whole main sector includes all of its product groups. You can combine several sectors and product groups in one list.
- Country
- Narrow the list by the country where the company is based. With no selection all countries are included, and the summary shows the distribution by country.
- Only companies with an email address
- When ticked, companies without a recorded email address are left out of the list.
- Classification confidence
- Standard includes sufficiently confident matches; the High confidence only option limits the list to the clearest matches.
One list can combine up to 20 sectors or product groups and up to 20 countries, and can contain up to 10,000 companies. For a wider target, you can split it into several lists by country or product group.
Which sectors are in the catalogue?
The classification tree has 29 main sectors and more than 200 product groups. You can open each main sector below to see its product groups, then build a list from a whole sector or from selected product groups only.

Who is the Sector Catalogue for?
The Sector Catalogue suits companies that define their customers by product and sector rather than by the trade fair calendar.
Companies selling abroad
Select companies in the sectors related to your product in your target countries and build a first-contact list for a new market without waiting for the fair season.
B2B sales teams
Build a prospect pool by region and product group. Companies you have already obtained on Expomatik are deducted, so you pay for new companies only.
Businesses that sell services to exhibitors
If you offer stand building, logistics, travel or promotional services, you can reach companies in a sector beyond the exhibitor list of a single fair.
Companies looking for distributors and partners
Bring together companies that could carry your product by choosing the relevant product group and country, and prepare a shortlist for evaluation.
There is no separate filter by company type (manufacturer, importer, distributor); selection is by sector, product group and country.
How is a sector list different from an exhibitor list?
An exhibitor list covers the companies at one trade fair, while a sector list covers the companies classified in a sector; you can use both in the same panel.
Scope
- Trade fair exhibitor list
- Companies that exhibited at the selected fair
- Sector list
- Companies classified in the selected sector and product group
Selection
- Trade fair exhibitor list
- A fair; the directory can be searched by country, city, date and sector
- Sector list

- Sector list
- Straight away or on a date and time you choose
Updates
- Trade fair exhibitor list
- Exhibitors added to the fair later
- Sector list
- Companies that match your selection later
List fee for the same company
- Trade fair exhibitor list
- Not charged a second time
- Sector list
- Not charged a second time
How do they work together?
After opening the exhibitor list of a fair, you can complete it with a sector list of companies in the same sector that did not exhibit at that fair. Companies you obtained through the fair list are deducted from the price of the sector list, so you do not pay a second list fee for the same company.
How is the price calculated?
The price of a sector list is based only on companies you do not have yet, at a net price per company.
- The amount is the number of new companies to be charged multiplied by the price per company.
- There is no fixed fee.
- Companies you already have through trade fair lists, sector lists or company access are deducted; no second list fee is charged for the same company.
- If every company matching your selection is already yours, the list is added free of charge.
- If you already have a list built with the same selection, there is no new charge and you are taken to your existing list.
- When the confirmation window opens, the amount is recalculated for your current selection. For a list update, if the amount changes between preview and confirmation, you are asked to confirm again.
The price per company and the net amount are shown in the panel, in the Order summary, before you confirm a list.
How are companies assigned to sectors?
Companies are assigned to sectors and product groups based on the products and services presented on their websites and the trade fairs they exhibit at. A company can appear in more than one product group.
Every match has a confidence level. Low-confidence matches are never offered for sale; for the rest, you decide which level goes into your list. New companies are classified on a regular basis, and companies that match your selection later can be added through a list update.
- Standard
- Sufficiently confident matches are included. This gives a broader list.
- High confidence only
- Only the clearest matches are included. This gives a narrower list that is more directly tied to the sector.
What can you see before you buy?
Before you buy, you see company counts, the distribution by country, the net amount and sample rows with masked names; company names and contact details are not shown.
- The data preview shows a few sample companies with the most complete contact details among those matching your selection. The company name is masked (for example "M*** *** GmbH"). You can see the location, whether an email address, phone number and website are available, and how many trade fairs the company has exhibited at.
- Samples are taken from the companies with the most complete contact details, so not every company in the list has the same level of detail. The order summary shows separately how many companies have an email address.
- The email condition and email counts are based on each company's corporate email address. Once you have the list, companies are sorted starting with those that have the most complete contact details.
- The list is saved with the companies that match at the time of purchase; companies added in later updates join the same list.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Sector Catalogue?
The Sector Catalogue is the part of the Expomatik panel where you choose companies by sector, product group and country to build your own customer list. The list is not tied to a trade fair and is added to My Lists.
Can I see company names before I buy?
No. Before you buy, you see the number of companies, the distribution by country, the net price and sample rows with masked company names. Full names and contact details become visible once you have the list.
Do I pay again for companies I already have?
No. When you obtain a list, companies you already have through trade fair lists, sector lists or company access are deducted from the price; no second list fee is charged for the same company.
Is there a fixed fee or a required subscription?
A sector list has no fixed fee; the price depends only on the number of new companies. Membership is free, and the amount is taken from your balance when you confirm the list.
Is the list updated later?
Not automatically. The list is saved with the companies that match at the time of purchase. When further companies match your selection, an update option appears on the list page; only new companies are charged, and companies you already have are added free of charge.
Which campaigns can I use a sector list in?
The list can be selected as a recipient source in the Personal Mail and Secure Mail campaigns included in your plan. Because a sector list is not tied to a trade fair, the campaign starts straight away or on a date you choose.
How are companies assigned to sectors?
Companies are classified based on the product and service information on their websites and the trade fairs they exhibit at. Standard includes sufficiently confident matches; the High confidence only option limits the list to the clearest matches.
How many companies can one list contain?
A single sector list can contain up to 10,000 companies. For a wider target, you can split it into several lists by country or product group.
