What did Heimtextil 2026 look like?

According to Messe Frankfurt's final report, the 2026 edition had around 3,000 exhibitors from 148 nations and approximately 47,000 buyers. 96% of exhibitors came from outside Germany; the top ten exhibitor countries included China, India, Pakistan, Türkiye and the United Kingdom. 86% of visitors were international and the share of top-level decision-makers rose to 78%.

Who is the list useful for?

Retail buyers and brand owners use it to compare manufacturers before the fair. Agents and importers use it to find mills without representation in their market. Suppliers of yarns, trims, packaging and finishing find their potential customers among the exhibitors themselves.

Contract textiles are a growing part of the fair. The Interior.Architecture.Hospitality programme focuses on hotels, offices and healthcare, and the organiser has announced a joint format with Hospitality Interiors Europe (HINT) from 2027.

How do you prepare for a January show?

Settle meetings by early December, as diaries fill quickly once the holidays end. Bring colour cards, certifications such as OEKO-TEX, minimum order quantities and lead times. Many exhibitors and buyers are outside Germany, but where the recipient is a German business, marketing email requires prior consent under § 7 UWG; phone and LinkedIn are the more dependable first steps. Answering sample requests within a week of the fair matters in a hall full of comparable offers.
