How large is the audience?

According to the organiser's closing report, the 2026 edition drew around 36,000 visitors from almost 90 countries, more than 13% up on the previous year. Much of the audience comes for the conferences as well as the stands, so engineers often plan their hall visits around the session programme.

Which suppliers fit the fair?

Semiconductor and module makers, embedded software and tool vendors, design houses, EMS providers, display and HMI specialists and security firms all find their audience here. The exhibitor list is useful both ways: as prospects, and as potential partners or distributors for a niche product.

European customers judge a design partner on process maturity before price. Experience with ISO 26262 for automotive, IEC 61508 for industrial safety or the security requirements now arriving under the EU Cyber Resilience Act is worth stating early.

How should a UK company approach German exhibitors?

A large share of exhibitors are based in Germany, where unsolicited advertising email needs the recipient's prior express consent, even between businesses. For German companies, the phone, LinkedIn and a meeting booked at the stand are the realistic routes. For exhibitors in other countries, follow the rules of the recipient's country; in the EU that means the GDPR plus national law.

When should you plan meetings?

The fair is held in March, so January and February are the months to book meetings. German offices return slowly after the Christmas break, usually from the second week of January. Nuremberg is one hour ahead of the UK.
