Who exhibits and who visits?

The organiser ran its first tobacco event in 1973 and also holds editions in Europe and Asia. Exhibitors cover machinery and processing equipment, filters and tipping materials, leaf and cut tobacco, cigars, shisha tobacco, flavourings and adhesives, testing equipment and wholesale distribution.

According to the organiser's 2025 post-show report, visitors and exhibitors came from 140 countries, with the UAE, India, China, Russia and Pakistan the leading attending countries and Germany and Egypt also in the top ten. From 2026, World Vape Show Dubai runs on the same days at the same venue. Entry is free for professionals working in the sector.

Which suppliers benefit most?

Machinery builders, spare parts and maintenance providers, packaging and board suppliers, filter and paper producers and testing laboratories are the natural audience. Manufacturers will ask for samples, quality certificates, minimum order quantities and lead times. Suppliers of finished products should be ready for questions on excise tax and labelling rules in the Gulf.

How should you plan meetings for a two-day show?

Dubai is four hours ahead of the UK in winter. An introduction six weeks before the show gives buyers time to fit you into a short schedule. With only two days, half-hour slots and samples at every meeting make the most of the time.

Follow up within a week with a quotation and technical sheet. Many visitors travel to Dubai from other countries, so ask about import conditions in the buyer's own market.

What should outreach take into account?

Exhibitors are based in many countries, so follow the rules of the recipient's country: identify yourself, include a postal address and offer an opt-out. Campaign emails go to the company's general address and should be aimed at businesses in the trade, never at consumers.
