What is RE+ and who attends?

The organisers describe RE+ as the largest and most comprehensive clean energy event in North America and say its audience comes from more than 115 countries. Visitors work across utility-scale and distributed generation, from project finance to installation. Proceeds fund SEIA and SEPA's research and advocacy, so policy sessions carry real weight on the programme.

RE+ also runs regional events across the US and in Mexico and Central America; the Las Vegas show is the national meeting point.

What will US buyers ask a non-US supplier?

Additional import duties, origin investigations and domestic content incentives have shaped US solar purchasing for years. Expect questions on where products are made, where key components such as cells come from, and which US certifications, such as UL listings, you hold. A clear origin and supply chain statement in your first message saves a round of emails.

Balance of system products, including mounting structures, cabling, combiner boxes and transformers, are often an easier entry point than modules.

How should you work the exhibitor list?

Exhibitors include US distributors and service companies as well as manufacturers. Distributors use the show to take on new brands, so an introduction six to eight weeks ahead helps you into their diary. Las Vegas is eight hours behind the UK. The show sits in mid-November with Thanksgiving week close behind, so follow up promptly.

Commercial email to US companies falls under the CAN-SPAM Act: accurate sender details, a postal address and a working opt-out. Campaign emails go to the company's general address.
