A packaging or plastics trade fair exhibitor list shows raw material suppliers, machinery makers and packaging manufacturers side by side. To find customers, separate these three groups first: material suppliers look for processors, machinery makers for packaging plants, and packaging makers for brand owners. Picking the right group turns one list into a focused target.
Who exhibits at packaging and plastics fairs?
- Materials
- Polymers, masterbatch, additives, paper and board, films: producers and distributors.
- Machinery
- Injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding, thermoforming, plus filling, labelling and packing lines.
- Converters
- Plants making bottles, closures, films, corrugated board and flexible packaging.
- Recycling
- Regranulation lines, sorting systems and suppliers of recycled material.
- Brand owners
- Food, drinks, cosmetics and pharmaceutical companies. The real buyers of packaging, but mostly visitors at these fairs.
The last point matters. If you sell packaging to brand owners, a packaging fair's exhibitor list shows you competitors and suppliers; your buyers exhibit at the fairs of their own sectors.
Which packaging and plastics fairs stand out?
- interpack: the world fair for packaging and processing technology, held every three years by Messe Düsseldorf. Machinery makers launch new lines here.
- K: the world fair for plastics and rubber, also every three years at Messe Düsseldorf. According to the organiser, the next K takes place in 2028.
- Plast Eurasia Istanbul: an annual plastics fair organised by Tüyap with the Turkish plastics foundation PAGEV at the TÜYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul.
- ArabPlast: the plastics, petrochemicals, packaging and rubber fair in Dubai, organised by Al Fajer Information & Services in partnership with Messe Düsseldorf. A gateway to the Middle East and North Africa.
- Paris Packaging Week: an annual event at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles combining packaging for cosmetics (PCD), premium drinks (PLD), aerosols (ADF) and luxury goods (Packaging Première).
Fairs whose next edition is in our directory appear in the table below with dates; check the official site before you travel.

Countries with the most plastics fairs: Türkiye.
Materials, machinery or packaging buyers: who should you look for?
| You are | Companies to look for |
|---|---|
| Polymer, masterbatch or additive supplier | Injection moulders, extruders and blow moulders (set the machinery makers aside) |
| Packaging or plastics machinery maker | Packaging plants, bottle and closure makers, machinery dealers in your target country |
| Converter | Material and machinery suppliers; for brand owners, food, drinks and cosmetics fairs |
| Spare parts, mould or service company | Foreign machinery makers and processors running machines in your country |
At plastics fairs, machinery makers and processors can appear in the same hall and even the same product group. A quick look at each company's website, asking "what do they make, what do they buy", prevents wasted messages.
How do you use the list around the fair dates?
- Six to eight weeks ahead: split the list into materials, machinery and converters, then pick 30 to 80 firms from the group that fits you.
- Four to five weeks ahead: send a short introduction and ask for a stand meeting. See our meeting request email templates.
- Fair week: bring samples and data sheets; in packaging, decisions are often made on samples.
- After the fair: reply at once to sample requests and send a brief follow-up to the rest.
These time frames are rough practical guidance, not measured figures.
In Expomatik the list is opened in your account; campaigns go to each company's general address, results are tracked by replies and opens are not measured.
What does a short, honest first message look like?
Subject: Recycled PET flake for your sheet extrusion
Hello, we would be grateful if you could pass this to your purchasing team.
We are a recycler in the north of England supplying food-grade recycled PET flake with full batch documentation. We would like to meet at the fair or send a sample. If you share your monthly volume, we can prepare a quote.
If this is not relevant, a short reply is enough and we will not write again.
The company and details in the example are illustrative.
Which rules apply before you email exhibitors?
In the UK, PECR does not require prior consent for marketing emails to corporate subscribers, but you must identify yourself and offer an opt-out; sole traders count as individuals. Recipients abroad fall under their own country's rules, and Germany requires prior consent even for companies. See Is It Legal to Email Trade Fair Exhibitors? This article is general information, not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions
- Who exhibits at packaging trade fairs?
- Mostly packaging machinery makers, packaging manufacturers and material suppliers. Brand owners who buy packaging tend to visit rather than exhibit; you reach them more reliably through the exhibitor lists of their own sector fairs, such as food, drinks or cosmetics.
- Is a plastics fair list useful for a polymer supplier?
- Yes. Injection moulders, extruders and blow moulders buy polymers, masterbatch and additives. Separating machinery makers from processors in the list is the first step to a focused target group.
- Whose addresses are in the list?
- Expomatik lists hold each company's general business address. Your message reaches the company and asks for it to be passed to the right department; named individuals are not targeted.
- Where can I see the price of a list?
- The price is shown in your account before you open the list. Plans and sending fees are on the Pricing page.
